A brief description of the programs sponsored by the institution to support underrepresented groups:

Brother 2 Brother empowerment group for all male students, but primarily focuses on men of color.

The Accessibility Resource Center is the central location for the Delta Sigma Omicron student organization, which focuses on students with disabilities.

UNCP has numerous student organizations that primarily focuses on the needs of underrepresented groups (NAACP: National Association for the Advancement of Colored People; I Am Boss and NCNW/National Council of Negro Women are groups that focuses on the needs of women of color; specific mentoring and coaching to underrepresented greek lettered organizations; Academic Support Center's Strengthening Our Ties, American Indian Learning Community, Veterans Affairs, etc..
