Founded in 1887 as a school for the education of American Indians, UNC Pembroke now serves a distinctly diverse student body and encourages inclusion and appreciation for the values of all people. UNC Pembroke has approximately 6,400 students from diverse backgrounds. The University offers 41 undergraduate programs and 18 graduate programs.
