In July 2013, the University installed the first on-site solar PV modules; the system has a 3.1 kW capacity mounted on the sports turf maintenance shop on the north-west side of the campus. In the spring of 2021, a new 32kWp PV system was installed on the roof of the new Nursing & Instructional Building. The turf shop system generated 3,571 kWh and the NIB generated 15,460 kWh.
