Does the institution make training and professional development opportunities in sustainability available to all staff?:
Yes

A brief description of the sustainability trainings and professional development opportunities available to staff :

The Sustainability Office has partnered with Human Resources to give a course to faculty and staff interested in sustainability issues. "GHG? kWh? CO2e? Zzzzzz… -- What Do They Mean & Why Should I Care?" gives an overview of major sustainability topics and how employees can assist UNCG in meeting its goals for energy and water use reduction, carbon neutrality, etc. It also teaches attendees how to incorporate behaviors into their lives at home to save money and resources.

The UNCG Green Office Certification program (http://uncggreenoffice.wordpress.com/) also educates faculty and staff about how to reduce the resources used in their work environments, with specific attention on employees who work in offices. Areas that the program focuses on include:
* Energy and water consumption
* Recycling and waste reduction
* Kitchen and break room practices
* Alternative transportation
* Meetings and event planning
