A brief description of the institution’s wellness and/or employee assistance program(s):
The Center for Wellness Promotion helps students make informed decisions about their personal health, wellbeing and safety, addressing issues such as: sexual and relationship violence; sexual health; substance use and recovery; diet and nutrition; physical fitness; mindfulness, stress/anxiety management; resiliency; and suicide prevention. The Center for Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) offers students individual and group counseling, workshops, consultation, referrals, outreach, and training. Employee health & wellness programs are guided by the My Health program that emphasizes healthy behaviors, including but not limited to nutritional, emotional and physical well-being. My Health educates employees about on-campus activities and facilities for physical activity, nutrition and staff garden programs, self-care tips for mental wellbeing, and mental health resources like the Employee Assistance Program and Ginger app.
