The university's free bus transit system includes stops at 6 of 8 campus road entrances (the 6 that have nearby off-campus housing; the other 2 entrances are highways with no housing). The university has negotiated with the city for an all-transit pass for employee purchase (for $75/year, a discount of 95% from monthly transit pass rates) that includes unlimited use of city light rail, buses, and special transportation service (the city provides on-demand taxi service from train/bus stops in the university area).

Yes

A brief description of other programs or initiatives to encourage more sustainable modes of transportation and/or reduce the impact of student and employee commuting:

The university’s free bus system, in addition to servicing housing-adjacent campus entrances, is based on 4 circuits that connect three on-campus housing villages, two academic areas, two light rail stations, a central bus station for city buses and apartment shuttles, with service averaging 7-15 minute wait times. There is a phone app with live location maps for all buses and predicted arrival times for all bus stops. There are discounted parking permits for motorcycles and mopeds. Purchasers of parking permits are offered free bicycle locker storage in our parking decks (with unused capacity rented to bicycle commuters by the semester). The university maintains over 2,000 bicycle parking spaces.
