Sustainable Carolina’s Sustainability Coalition grew out of a need to bridge the work of student organizations and University departments, both on the operations and academics side. The group meets once a month and strives to connect students with University departments that can assist in event planning and resource procurement. Non-academic staff involved in the group come from the Ackerman Center for Excellence in Sustainability, North Carolina Botanical Garden, UNC Environment, Health and Safety – Stormwater program, Off Campus Student Life, Carolina Dining Services, UNC Office of Waste Reduction and Recycling, and UNC Energy Management. https://sustainable.unc.edu/campus-engagement/sustainability-coalition/
