The new Certificate in Conservation Gardening is offered by the North Carolina Botanical Garden, which is part of UNC Chapel Hill. The program covers landscape design principles; native plant selection - perennials; native plant selection - shrubs and trees; landscape design studio; landscape installation; and maintenance considerations for native plant gardens, including integrated pest management strategies. Classes take place at the LEED Platinum NCBG Education Center.
