A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
New employee orientation includes information about the Commuter Alternatives Program, the Three Zeros Environmental Initiative, Carolina's Diversity and Inclusion programs, and Innovate Carolina. During the facilitated zoom/live orientation sessions, the New Hire Orientation Program Manager mentions that Carolina was ranked #2 in the U.S. for sustainability in 2020 and that sustainability is part of our culture at Carolina. A staff member from Transportation and Parking provides hands on guidance about the fare free bus network and other options available through the Commuter Alternatives Program. Sustainability resources are featured prominently on the website developed for new employees. New.unc.edu
