A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:
E85 (339 vehicles) and B20 (25 vehicles) fuel tanks on campus. Alternative fuels, synthetic lubricants, and more efficient vehicles have reduced Carolina's annual petroleum consumption. An IT group on campus uses bicycles. There are six Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations installed in parking lots across campus.
