A brief description of the child care program, policy, or practice:
Child Care Resource and Referral Service - UNC's Child Care Referral Service helps employees access affordable, high-quality child care. The program is administered by the Child Care Services Association, a non-profit child care resource and referral agency, and is free to UNC employees.
Child Care Financial Assistance Program - UNC's Child Care Financial Assistance Program provides financial assistance to employees and students for quality child care. Since funding for the program is limited, eligibility cannot guarantee assistance.
University Child Care Center - The University Child Care Center is a nationally-accredited, licensed non-profit center for the children of students, faculty, and staff of UNC Chapel Hill and UNC Health Care Systems. The facility accommodates 120 children, ranging in age from infants to five years old.
FPG Family and Child Care Program - The FPG Family and Child Care Program provides high-quality early education and care to children and families. It is a full-day program that operates year-round. Staff uses developmentally appropriate practices that promote learning of language, communication, emergent literacy, and social, cognitive, play, and creative skills.
Carolina Kids Camp - Carolina Kids Camp is a summer day camp on the UNC campus for children, ages 6 to 10, of employees and students.
Helping Heels Child Care Provider List - The Helping Heels Child Care and Elder Care Provider List, compiled by Employee Services, is a list of UNC-affiliated individuals who provide part-time and temporary care.
