A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:
Cultural competence trainings and activities are available to all employees, faculty, and students through the Diversity Education Team in the Diversity and Multicultural Affairs office. The DET teaches two employee workshops, Diversity for Employees and Diversity for Supervisors, which are open to all employees. Through Human Resources, employee may enroll in trainings for managing diversity in the workplace. The DET will work with any University department, unit, or group to develop customized diversity training programs and offers diversity education modules that may be adapted to specific needs. Any member of the University community(employees, faculty, students) may join the Diversity Eduction Team after completing a diversity education program.
