The University makes every effort to promote local products and businesses in accordance with the State of North Carolina's procurement policies and laws. NC General Statute 143-59 and Executive Order 50 authorize a preference for products manufactured or produced in North Carolina whenever practicable and establish a price preference for local goods on state bid contracts.
