The professional librarians at the University of New Haven provide ongoing library support for sustainability research and learning in the form of research guides, materials selection recommendations from faculty, and e-learning objects focused on sustainability research. Librarians are embedded in the Blackboard course management system for various courses providing support for research.
The University Library maintains a collection of materials that support sustainability research including a robust collection of journals, books, media items, U.S. Government documents, and other materials. The liaison librarian to the Tagliatela College of Engineering generated library guides for faculty and students to utilize in sustainability research, teaching and study.
Some examples of journals and database entries include Journal of Education for Sustainable Development, O’NET Resource Center: The Green Economy, Environmental Progress and Sustainable Energy, and Energy Explained.
