Detection of Alanine by Salt Marsh Species of New Haven Harbor Estuary - Through the SURF program, students evaluated the levels of amino acids used for protein construction produced by salt marsh species. As a transitional habitat between the ocean and land, plant growth is stimulated in the marsh and organic material feed fish and other coastal organisms.

Application of Artificial Neural Networks to Assess Student Happiness - Graduate students were surveyed to develop an analytical approach that identifies the main factors impacting students’ levels of happiness. These include; education, school facilities, health, social activities, and family. Consequently, specific policy recommendations intended to improve “student happiness”, were made to career services, financial aid, parking, and dining services.
