A brief description of the graduate-level degree program:

Students enrolled in Master of Science, Environmental Engineering quickly develop the skills necessary to provide ground-breaking solutions to complex environmental problems through an interdisciplinary study of environmental protection issues, water quality and purification, wastewater treatment, solid waste management, site remediation, and emission control measures. A total of 30 graduate-level credits are required to earn the Master of Science in Environmental Engineering with a specialization in one of the following: Industrial and Hazardous Wastes, Water and Wastewater Treatment, and Water Resources. Finally, students must complete a faculty approved, thesis project on a topic of their choice.

A brief description of the graduate minor, concentration or certificate:

The University of New Haven College of Business offers the Certificate program "Non-Profit, Leadership, Innovation, and Organizational Sustainability”. This certificate allows individuals to develop leadership and strategic management skills that instill the business planning, structure, social entrepreneurship, and innovation needed to ensure their nonprofit organization has a much greater chance of success. This program was developed through extensive interviews with dozens of New Haven nonprofit executive directors, nonprofit boards, and graduates from competing programs. This certificate creates a relationship between University of New Haven students and community nonprofits, which provides them the resources and intellectual capital to support their missions.
