A brief description of the methodology or tool used to calculate the institution’s nitrogen footprint:
UNH used the same activity to calculate both its C and N footprints for 2022. The data were collected by a UNH interns, and entered into SIMAP. Another intern then used the SIMAP Data Review protocol to review UNH's 2022 data. The results were presented to, and reviewed by, the Energy Task Force in October 2024 as well.
