A brief description of each certified dining hall or food service outlet, including the year the certification was achieved and/or renewed:
All four 3 Star Certified Green Restaurants in the state of New Hampshire are located on the UNH campus. This includes three dining halls and one retail outlet, whose certifications were upgraded or renewed in January 2017. Holloway Commons, the largest dining hall, features multiple food stations where fresh items are cooked on demand. Stillings and Philbrook Dining Halls include specialties such as allergen friendly and vegan stations. The Dairy Bar focuses on fresh, healthy, and local (when possible) offerings for breakfast and lunch as well as sales of local ice cream. In these four outlets and across dining operations, UNH Hospitality Services has committed to sourcing local and sustainable food, recycling and composting organics, investing in energy efficient and Energy Star rated equipment and conserving water.
