The online home of the University Office of Sustainability (UOS) offers information about UOS’s four initiatives (Biodiversity Education, Climate Education, Culture & Sustainability, Food & Society), a sustainability calendar, resources for students, faculty & staff, media, and much more. There is also a “Sustainability Tips for Students” page.

The UNH University Office of Sustainability newsletter highlights how sustainability principles and practices are being integrated throughout UNH's curriculum, operations, research, and engagement with local, state, regional, national, and international partners. Each issue we are share interesting "Did You Know?" facts, an easy-to-do "Tip of the Month," an inspiring "Profile in Sustainability" highlighting the work of UNH faculty, staff, and students, a "Calendar of Events," and much more. From UOS's exciting work to the great work of others, if it's related to sustainability at UNH you'll hear about it in the Office of Sustainability Newsletter!

A brief description of the vehicle to publish and disseminate student research on sustainability:

The Undergraduate Research Conference (URC), entering its 11th year in 2010, is a celebration of academic excellence at the University of New Hampshire. At the weeklong symposium, hundreds of UNH students from all academic disciplines present the results of their scholarly and creative research in one or more of over twenty professional and artistic venues campus-wide. Demonstrations, performances, oral and poster presentations add to the excitement of the annual conference. The 2008-2009 STARS liaison at UNH presented her findings to the URC, as well as many other students that conducted research in sustainability.

An online map of the UNH campus identifies the seven Energy Star Buildings and the additional 30+ sustainability-related points of interest.

In Spring 2010, UNH officially release its Tree Walk Podcast, a walking tour and map that consists of 22 stops around campus where people learn about tree identification, the history of the landscape and ongoing sustainability projects related to biodiversity. The UNH Commuter Services website offers all kinds of information for students living off campus. It offers links to GoLoco Riderequest (for students who wish to offer/find a ride to campus or elsewhere) as well as to Wildcat Transit. Within the 36-page Commuter Guide (PDF), there are several pages on Transportation Options at UNH (e.g., Wildcat Transit, Guaranteed Ride Home, Campus Connector Shuttles, Cat Cycles, The Downeaster, Safe Rides, etc.) as well as Seacoast area transportation options. There is also information about parking, storm closings, commuter programming, and much more. Additionally, UOS offers a webpage covering all sustainable transportation options at UNH.

Residential Life offers a website with many tips for students to incorporate green living and sustainability into the residential experience by "buying green" and "living green." For example, students can learn about and access the 10% discount at Best Buy for Energy Star appliances, how to refill printer cartridges, learn about the Energy Waste Watch Challenge, and more. The page also offers links to the University Office of Sustainability's "Sustainability Tips for Students." Here, students can learn more about water conservation, buying local food, how to join sustainability-related student organizations, and much more. The New Hampshire (TNH) is the student newspaper of the University of New Hampshire. Thomas Gounley is the designated reporter for covering sustainability-related stories. Though tnhonline.com does not have a "sustainability" page, UOS staff works diligently to document all UNH/sustainability-related stories on their webpage.
