Yes
The charter or mission statement of the CIR or other body which reflects social and environmental concerns or a brief description of how the CIR is tasked to address social and environmental concerns:
UNB has an Investment Committee that has environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles included in their guiding policy. The Investments Committee meets four times per year where an ESG update is included at each meeting. The Investments Committee also meets with at least half the managers per year where ESG issues are always discussed. External investment managers have been directed to consider environmental sustainability, high standards of corporate social responsibility and corporate governance when making investment decisions. The Investments Committee has a Board approved Statement of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Reporting Protocols for the Fund’s investment managers. The statement sets out the Committee’s approach to interacting with investment managers to achieve the Board’s sustainable investment objectives. The Committee also encourages fund managers to incorporate in their proxy voting guidelines policies that encourage issuers to increase transparency of their ESG policies, procedures, and activities.
The Investment Committee believes that environmental, social and governance issues are a set of factors to be considered along with all other factors when making investment decisions.
