A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
A number of groups from across campus contribute to making orientation at UNB more sustainable. Student Services now prints their O-Week Guides and Schedules on 100% post-consumer recycled paper which go out to all incoming students. Also, rather than including a number of pamphlets in orientation kits, the International Student Advisory Office and the Graduate Student Association included information on USB drives to save paper.

The Student Union Orientation Leaders included green acts into the O-Cup competition and included reusable alternatives to single use plastics within their orientation kits. Several events throughout the week were certified through the Green Event Program, including Red Shirt training. This is open to all first year students and transfer students have the opportunity to opt-in.
