Yes

A brief description of the student sustainability research program:
Fourth-year students engage in a capstone project where they solve real environmental and forest management issues for clients. You will apply the skills you learn in your first three years in a practical way for a client in the local community.

Current projects include:
- Urban forest management plan for the City of Fredericton
- Forest management plan that encompasses 486 hectares of land located in Grand Lake, New Brunswick.
- Forest management plan for various parcels, in the Coy Road and Albrights Corner properties

A brief description of the faculty sustainability research program:
The Emera & NB Power Research Centre for Smart Grid Technologies at the University of New Brunswick will be at the forefront of this emerging industry.

In collaboration with academic and private sector partners, research and innovation from the Emera & NB Power Research Centre for Smart Grid Technologies will play a pivotal role in advancing the transformation of conventional power grids around the world.

Centre researchers work collaboratively from an interdisciplinary perspective, tying smart grid research back to:

- renewable energy
- big data analytics
- cybersecurity
- business
- economics
- innovation and entrepreneurship
