The New Brunswick Environmental Network (NBEN), established in 1991, is a communication network that links together over 90 non-profit environmental organizations.
The role of the NBEN is to improve communication and co-operation among environmental groups and between these groups, government and other sectors. The NBEN provides educational opportunities for its member and associate groups and encourages the growth of the environmental movement in New Brunswick. The NBEN is not an advocacy group and does not take positions on any issue.
The NBEN is governed by a Steering Committee that is elected by member groups, at the annual general meeting. The Steering Committee consists of eight representatives. Two representatives are chosen from each of the following groups: Youth, First Nations, Francophone and Anglophone.
UNB partners with the NBEN by having representatives on their steering committee as well as collaborate on the Great Minds Think Outside and is an associate member of the network.

The CCNB was established in1969 as a non-profit organization and has been at the front line of environmental protection ever since. Their vision is: "Conservation Council of New Brunswick believes the future of all life depends on bringing human activity in balance with ecological limits". CCNB aims to raise awareness of environmental problems and advance practical solutions through research, education, and interventions.
UNB has had and continues to have a close relationship with CCNB for many years and shares resources such as collaborative research and projects, student work-terms, fundraisers, community events and much more. Many UNB professors and staff also work for CCNB.

NTNB is a charitable organization that was established in 1987 and is responsible for conserving over 6000 acres in more than 40 nature preserves throughout New Brunswick. They provide three core tenets to their mission as an organization: To Conserve, To Steward and To Educate. The vision of NTNB is to provide New Brunswick with an expanding network full of remarkable preserved natural habitat that is conserved in perpetuity.
The relationship between UNB and NTNB can be considered close-knit and collaborative. NTNB has worked on several projects with UNB over the years and continues to do so, working with faculty, staff and students. UNB also provided input into NTNB's 5-year strategic plan as well as consultation on acquisition strategies and management policies and coordinated events to engage youth within the community as well as shared research to help advance sustainability efforts in New Brunswick.
