Consolidated Students of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (CSUN) is UNLV’s undergraduate student government. The purpose of CSUN is to represent the voice of students, build a campus community, and enhance the college experience for all UNLV Rebels. CSUN has three branches: Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. Each branch has its own set of responsibilities.

The Classified Staff Council represents and serves classified employees and is an advisory group to the president of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The Council recognizes the importance of being actively involved in creating a more collaborative campus community. "Our goals are to create an inclusive campus environment, provide information and opportunities, and explore recommendations to recognize and reward our peers. We believe this can be achieved in part by listening (communication), developing plans (working collaboratively with the campus community), and being an action-oriented group (constructively implementing said visions)."

THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE NEVADA SYSTEM OF HIGHER EDUCATION (NSHE) HAS DELEGATED TO THE FACULTY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA LAS VEGAS (UNLV) THE AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR ORGANIZING ITSELF. FURTHER, THE FACULTY SENATE IS AUTHORIZED TO REPRESENT THE FACULTY OF UNLV AND THE UNLV FACULTY SENATE IS GOVERNED BY ITS OWN INTERNAL BYLAWS. THESE BYLAWS DESCRIBE THE COMPOSITION OF THE SENATE, THE APPROVAL OF CURRICULUM, THE PROCEDURES OF FACULTY GRIEVANCE, AND THE FUNCTION AND MEMBERSHIP OF THE SEVERAL FACULTY SENATE COMMITTEES (19) WHICH PERFORM THE ACADEMIC FUNCTIONS OF THE SENATE AND UNIVERSITY.
