UNLV offers students several ways to give back to the community. Below are the projects that are coordinated by Rebel Service Council. All of the projects are open to UNLV students, faculty, and staff. Beyond these projects there are numerous opportunities to volunteer in our community. Check out the service project calendar link on the right side of this page.

The Office of Civic Engagement & Diversity (OCED) periodically conducts assessments of the student body to gauge participation in community service. Through large and random samples, we know that approximately 40% of students participate in community service.
In addition, UNLV was named to the 2010 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll by the Corporation for National and Community Service. The Honor Roll recognizes higher education institutions that reflect the values of exemplary community service and achieve meaningful outcomes in their communities.
Our selection to the Honor Roll is recognition from the highest levels of the federal government of our commitment to service and civic engagement on our campus and in our nation. UNLV has been named to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll in 2010, 2009, and 2007.
