Yes

Name of the campaign:
#BanTheBag

A brief description of the campaign:

The #BanTheBags campaign was led by Sustain UNL, a student organization on campus. This campaign included tabling for two semesters (fall 2018 and spring 2019) to educate students on campus about plastic bag production, consumption, and after life. The goal of this campaign was to petition for signatures to get the question "should UNL ban the distribution of plastic bags on all campuses including those distributed at bookstores, c-stores, and other locations?" on the student government ballot for spring 2019. The secondary goal was to get the majority of students to vote yes to the plastic bag ban.

A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign:

Through educational tabling, students on campus were given new knowledge on not only the littering side effect of plastic bags, but also the carbon intensive process to produce the bags. This resulted in over 600 students signing the petition to get the question on the ballot. During elections, 68% of students voted to ban plastic bags on campus!
