A brief description of the sustainability-focused immersive program(s) offered by the institution:
UNO Faculty-Led Education Abroad Program:

- Sustainable Ecotourism in Costa Rica (2022)
Geographical field studies course traveled to Costa Rica for ten days to study ecotourism and sustainability. Students visited a bat sanctuary, the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge, and did a service project at the Monteverde Institute.

- Public Health and Civil Rights in Washington DC (2022)
A public health and civil rights course led students to Washington DC for nine days to visit the nation's capital and learn how public health, civil rights, and policy are intersectional. Student visited historical landmarks and buildings such as the library of congress and national holocaust museum.
