A brief description of the institution’s green infrastructure and LID practices:
Landscape Management: Retention ponds and rain gardens have been added to campus. The law requires retention ponds and rain gardens to be installed for any new construction of parking lots and buildings. There are approximately 50 gardens on campus. At Baxter Arena (North Side), 2,400 square feet of porous concrete has been installed. UNO Housing: A stormwater retention pool is located behind the West Parking Garage next to Maverick Village.
