UNO was host site for and a significant number of faculty and staff helped craft Omaha by Design's Environmental Element for the City of Omaha (including interaction with City Council members for its adoption). These efforts are on-going. http://www.omahabydesign.org/projects/environmental-element/

Some faculty and staff have also created Mode Shift Omaha, to help advocate alternatives to single occupant driving in Omaha. http://modeshiftomaha.org/
