A brief description of how the institution ensures that its lowest-paid workers (including contractors, if applicable) receive sustainable compensation:

Open positions are evaluated against competitive, peer and aspirant, institutions; as well as the local chamber of commerce. Any annual increase is comparable to the CPI. We compensate all employees above both the State of Ohio and the Federal minimum wage.

Benefits are made available to all employees working 36 or more hours per week on an ongoing basis. We offer three separate medical benefit options. These plans give all faculty and staff the ability to select the plan that best fits their livelihood. The premium options differ significantly with each medical option. Mount Union has chosen to heavily subsidize the premium for the medical and vision plans.

The most recent year total compensation for the institution’s lowest-paid workers (including contractors, if applicable) was evaluated to ensure that it was sustainable:
2,010
