A brief description of the institution’s programs that help increase the diversity of higher education faculty :
The Wayne Manzilla Diversity Internship Program helps increase the diversity of higher education faculty by offering paid internships to minority gradutes of the University. In addition to a stipend, these individuals are encouraged to attend graduate school, which is also paid for by the University.
Additionally, Mount Union is exploring the idea of Dissertation year Fellowships. These positions invite individuals who have compelted everything but the dissertation in pursuit of a PhD to teach at Mount Union for one year. During this time, these individuals would also be encouraged to mentor students through the graduate school application process and other endeavors.
