The positions are described in a variety of classes frequented by environmentally minded students and also advertised in the jobs available through Financial Aid Office. They are also mentioned in our Ennouncements, an internet newsletter that comes out 3 times a week.


A brief description of the formal training that the student educators receive (1st program):

There is no formal training session but the students meet weekly with 3 members of the Sustainability Management Advisory Committee (SMAC) and discuss projects to be considered and actions to be taken by the group. Strategies are discussed in these meetings.


A brief description of the staff and/or other financial support the institution provides to the program (1st program):

The support staff includes the chair of SMAC and two sustainability coordinators for the university. The students are on work-study and are paid minimum wage for their services.
