Future Mil Campus Land Use project
During the summer of 2016, a project, proposed by four students of the Faculté d’aménagement (Land Use/Planning Faculty), to reuse old shipping containers was realized on the future site of the new science complex of Université de Montréal. This project aimed to catalyze urban creativeness, that allows artists, students, and citizens to coexist on an inspiring site.

Eco driving outreach projet
In 2016, students from the Faculté de pharmacie (Faculty of Pharmacy) wrote an energy-efficient driving guide to raise awareness about air pollution and its effects on health and how it correlates to driving habits. This document, designed for both students and Université de Montréal faculty staff, lists the best practices to jointly reduce the emission of pollutant and the fuel consumption with the goal of sustainability.

Recycling stations conception project
The Sustainability Office launched in autumn 2015, in association with the École de désign (Design School), an integrative project to design multi-material recycling stations for the main cafeteria. The project was part of an eco-design workshop course and aimed to increase and improve waste sorting. These four-way recycling stations were realized during the summer of 2016.

Law Faculty internship (Master’s degree)
The Sustainability Office wished to obtain necessary legal information surrounding the beekeeping projects to ensure their compliance. The graduate internship provided legal advice that allowed the Sustainability Office to continue its beekeeping project.
