According to the New York Times, gas-powered leaf blowers emit more hydrocarbons than a ford 150 driving to Alaska from Texas! Students in the Sustainability Class wrote a green fund grant to buy electric leaf blowers for our grounds staff to help eliminate some of our biggest polluting sources in the grounds department.
