Documentation to support the full-time faculty employment figure:
A brief narrative to support the full-time faculty employment figure:
In order to produce this number, I manually reviewed the registrar's data from Spring of 2021 (the most recent data from a full fiscal year). As Montevallo is a small campus, I know most of the faculty by name, and for those names I did not know, I performed a google search on their name with the word "Montevallo." If I could not find evidence of them on our webpage, I classified them as adjunct, which means if anything I have over-estimated adjunct use, as some of those individuals may have been new faculty who are not listed on our website. I did not weight any classes by credit hours either, which also perhaps over-estimated our adjunct use - two areas with high adjunct use are gym classes and private music lessons, both of which are 1-credit courses.
