As part of Earth Month, we ran a campus Earth Month Eco-Challenge 2022 program in which students or employees could create teams to compete to be the most sustainable. See ecochallenge.org for more on the program.

We had 31 people participate in the challenge across campus, which was less than our previous campaign, but we have plans to increase participation next year.

Students in ES 250 wrote a petition and collected over 100 signatures to advocate for the hiring of a full-time sustainability coordinator at UM.

The petition is recent, but it will be included in our request for a staff position during the next unit planning phase.
