The numbers above were pulled from the LEED waste diversion template for the Champion Center, the only new facility constructed at UM in 2019. Tony Houtz, LEED AP, shared the LEED data with us for this report. Since all of UM's new construction and renovation must be LEED certified at least to a silver rating, we have chosen to track construction and waste diversion for each project in our LEED reporting.
