A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:

In summer 2021, UM Facilities Services made the decision to switch to using Enterprise Rental Car services instead of owning our own fleet of vehicles. We will still maintain ownership of vehicles for facilities staff (grounds crew, labor, electricians, carpenters, etc.) but will no longer own vehicles for affiliate use. We plan to emphasize in our contract with Enterprise that we prefer hybrid and fully electric vehicles be made available to university affiliates.
