A brief description of the institution’s community garden:

ASUM Sustainability provides operating expenses to Garden City Harvest, a local nonprofit, for the ASUM Community Garden. The garden includes 70 plots, sized 15’ x 15’. Each plot is rented by an individual or family for food production. Each of Garden City Harvest's 10 community gardens around Missoula provides gardeners with a garden plot, tools, water, manure, straw, compost, and educational resources to help them grow their own food. Plots are rented on a sliding scale based on income and family size. In 2019, 30% of the ASUM Garden plots were used by people who were university-affiliated.
