The UM Food Pantry first opened its doors in February of 2019 in response to findings from a student-led Committee on Basic Needs and Food Insecurity. The UM Food Pantry works with the student government and other student-led groups on campus to provide services, education, and outreach. The UM Food Pantry also partners with the Missoula Food Bank & Community Center, Montana Food Bank Network, Missoula Chamber of Commerce, and others in the community to organize food & donation drives, events, and fundraising campaigns.
The food pantry provides free food assistance to UM students, staff, faculty & community members, free personal care products, and SNAP application assistance.
