Green Office Program

A brief description of the employee educators program (1st program):

The Green Office Program is an initiative to engage faculty, staff, and student employees in sustainability. The Green Office Program offers practical and effective actions that allow individuals and entire departments to mitigate their environmental impact. Participating departments select a Green Office liaison who works with the ASUM Sustainability Coordinator to complete an audit of their office and select areas outlined in the Green Office Checklist to focus on making an impact. Offices are encouraged to re-certify every 3 years and events are offered throughout the semester for Green Offices to learn and engage with various program areas.


A brief description of the employee educators program’s target audience (1st program):

All faculty and staff on campus are encouraged and allowed to participate. Outreach is done through campus newsletters, direct engagement, and word of mouth. UM Mountain Campus (main campus) and Missoula College are both included in the program's outreach and education efforts.
