A brief description of the institution’s bicycle program, including the year the award was achieved and/or renewed:
In 2013, UM was designated a Gold level Bike Friendly University. We support cycling to campus in a variety of ways, including by hiring a team of sustainable transportation ambassadors each year to conduct outreach and education, offering protected bike lanes and abundant bike parking on campus, and by managing a bike loan and rental fleet program for all UM community members.
