A brief description of the source of non-potable water and how it is used:
The MU Power Plant began using recycled waste water from the plant's water treatment system to supplement the plant's cooling water system. Also H. Palmer Professor and former chair of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Senior Fellow at the Woods Institute for the Environment at Stanford University is teaching and doing research in environmental engineering and water quality with application to water reuse and management of contaminated sediments.
