A brief description of programs, policies, infrastructure investments, outreach efforts, and/or other factors that contributed to the diversion rate:
Over the years, a number of MU’s offices/divisions/departments have developed recycling and waste management strategies in an effort to save money, to adhere to statutory requirements, and/or to be responsible stewards of the environment. Through these efforts, the University has shown progress with regard to recycling, waste management and waste reduction.
