Which of the following best describes the institution’s approach to rainwater management?:
Comprehensive policies, plans or guidelines that require LID practices for all new projects

A brief description of the institution’s green infrastructure and LID practices:
The UMN Master Plan contains a section dedicated to stormwater management. Priorities such as installing rain gardens, creating vegetated swales, and restoring a wetland on campus are clearly laid out.

UMN Morris has implemented rain gardens on campus and we have installed permeable pavers in select areas. During our most recent construction at UMN Morris -- the Green Prairie Residence Hall -- we integrated rain gardens/pollinator gardens into the parking lot area and other areas around the building -- in alignment with the priorities outlined in the Strategic Plan.

UMN Morris Historic Master Plan also addresses landscaping, rain gardens and run-off.
