A brief description of the initiatives specifically designed to recruit sustainability employees from underrepresented groups:

UMN Morris Office of Sustainability is largely staffed by student interns. UMN Morris has a program with the Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion called the Morris Intercultural Sustainability Leadership program. The goal is this program is to help cultivate students that may ultimately choose to work in the Office of Sustainability.

Yes

A brief description of the DEI trainings for sustainability employees:

UMN Morris Office of Sustainability employees participated in the UMN Student Engagement Leadership Forum on Sustainability (SELFsustain). This program incorporated DEI training.

Yes

The student intern coordinator of the Morris ISLe program discussed above is also embedded in the Morris Office of Sustainability and is tasked with growing DEI opportunities for interns and the campus.
