Does the institution host a food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource focused on alleviating food insecurity, hunger and poverty among students?:
Yes

A brief description of the food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource:

The UMN Morris Student Center 24-hour lounge has a grab and go food shelf and a coat rack with free coats, scarves, hats, and mittens (as the weather turns colder). The grab and go food shelf includes shelf stable food items ranging from granola bars to cans of soup or vegetables to boxes of pasta. It also has toiletry items available. Students are able to access this area 24/7 and can take what they need as needed.

In addition, there are food bags already assembled and available in UMN Morris campus offices. The bags include enough shelf-stable food items to last for several days. They are available in 6 different locations around campus. All of these locations have informational signage letting students know who to contact if they need to be connected with more resources or need further assistance. The school also has a food rescue program that allows students to get left over meals for free from the dining hall on campus twice a week.
