We surveyed the public domain for questions used by other schools and selected questions we believed would work well for our institution and context. We also created some new questions that were more directly related to our location in Minnesota.

UMN Morris sends the sustainability literacy assessment to ALL incoming freshman and graduating seniors. In this way, we survey the entire student body at intervals that allow for comparison.

A brief summary of results from the literacy assessment(s):
We receive both quantitative and qualitative information from the sustainability literacy assessment. In general, we have learned that students are increasing their sustainability literacy via classes, engagement with fellow students, internships, and specific mentors.

Congratulations on completing (or nearly completing) your studies at the University of Minnesota Morris!

I need your help to support our campus sustainability efforts.

I am sending you a link to the Morris Sustainability Literacy Assessment (MSLA) linked below.

The MSLA is a survey containing about 30 multiple choice and two short answer questions that are designed to assess sustainability culture at Morris and ask some sustainability literacy questions.

By completing the MSLA you will help UMN Morris improve its curricula and programming so that the students following in your footsteps will have the best experience and education possible.
