A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:
Student OD and travel mode survey in 2016. Numbers include commuting and intra campus trips. community. The survey link was e-mailed to a random 16,600 University faculty, students and staff as the sample size. 2,210 surveys were included in the final data set representing three percent of the total student, faculty and staff population.

An updated survey was planned for 2020 and has been delayed due to the pandemic. We acknowledge that the 2016 survey occurred outside of the reporting time frame.
