A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:

UFleet continues to support users interested in purchasing electric and alternative fuel vehicles. UFleet also continues to maintain current electric vehicle chargers (35 public stations and 12 strictly for Fleet use in 2022) and explore opportunities to improve the EV charging network.

UFleet along with Facilities Management are collecting data on 200 individual vehicle routes, parking locations, and dwell times over the course of 180 days. The Data will be used to determine the total cost of ownership for fleet electrification for comparison to the status quo and will inform the future buildout of charging stations. The hope is to be ready to make decisions on charging needs/locations by early 2023.
